How the DAM Created Invisible Dress Forms for Shock Wave

Learn how the Denver Art Museum created custom-made supports using a polyester felt called Fosshape® for some of the garments in Shock Wave: Japanese Fashion Design, 1980s–90s.

"Fit is really key," says Allison McCloskey, associate textile conservator, to show the objects well and to avoid tension on the garments. Watch a video with curator Florence Müller to learn more.

Shock Wave is on view on level 6 of the North Building through May 28, 2017. It is included with general admission, free for members.
